We agree on payment, artwork use and approvals, and review the rights needed before production.
Make it happen
For projects we take on, MerchLock coordinates production and selling the product. You receive artist credit and the agreed royalty on sales.
How artists get paid.
Artists are credited and paid a royalty on every sale. We agree on your rate, how royalties are calculated and the payment schedule before the project begins. Terms depend on the product and scope of the collaboration.
Submit your own artwork.
Send artwork you created yourself and credit any collaborators. We don’t accept stolen artwork, unauthorized tracing, or copied designs presented as your own.
Tell us about any existing characters, logos, photographs, fonts or other third-party material included in your design, along with any permissions you already have.
Original artwork can still include rights owned by someone else. We review the permissions needed for each product before moving into production.
Submitting your work allows us to review it. Manufacturing, sales and marketing permissions are handled in a separate agreement.
